A day at the beach...
Slip on your flip-flops and join Laurie Davis, AKA the glitterfairy, for a beach-themed afternoon of glittering, crafting and of course, cupcakes! You will be using Tinsel Trading Company’s exclusive line of imported German glass glitter and legendary trimmings.
Laurie will teach you how to make a whimsical 9’ glittered seastar garland on sheer organza ribbon - perfect to drape over a door or mantel or use as a table runner– which will give your home that summer “beachhouse” feeling.You will also craft an individual glittered ornament - either a seastar, sea horse or crab, which will be strung up on ribbon or a hand-crafted wire hook.
Finally, you will craft a trio of gift tags using glitter, shells and ribbons and TT’s famous embellishments.The glitterfairy has taught many workshops at Tinsel Trading Company and is thrilled to offer this new class. Her passion for design (and glitter) has led to a full-time business and for the past 12 years, she has been embellishing faux fruits, veggies, dragonflies, bumblebees, seastars and other objects from nature with a dusting of glitter, transforming them into much coveted seasonal decorations. A former art teacher and graphic design director, Laurie has been a featured guest several times on The Martha Stewart Show, sharing some of her favorite projects and glittering techniques.
