Students should bring:
* 3 narrow neck bottles(vintage are fabulous or with a vintage flair)
Optional: The instructor will share her stash of embellishments with you but it is suggested you bring your own such as words, trim, numbers, inspirational quotes etc. Tinsel Trading is also happy to supply your flowers, glass glitter and other embellishments to make your piece personal.
Right in the heart of an altered book you will create a cozy nest for a little lost bird. This bird's nest altered book will be created using gesso and modeling paste among other amazing techniques. This is an old book in the middle of which a hole has been cut and the pages torn to give the effect of a nest. The little bird lies snuggled in the center. The spine has been embellished with a collection of beads and ribbons. Students are encouraged to bring their own X-acto knife.
